Cooking should be pleasurable. We must remember that we are what we eat and so take a little more notice of what we are producing and consuming.

My Sweetest Things offers children between 4 and 16 awe-inspiring cookery classes they'll remember for years to come. Armed with miniature rolling pins and chef hats, Joudie Kalla captivates the youngsters’ imaginations for hours as they create their culinary masterpieces.

Since leaving the fast paced London restaurant scene Joudie has made it her aim to inspire children as young as four to discover the magical world of cooking. And as a bonus, the range of teatime treats resulting from the three-hour class will keep the youngsters’ grins in good supply for days to come.

Joudie says: "We cook crab cakes and chicken noodles together, or go for a pure sugar hit with muffins and cupcakes. Encouraging children to try new things, be more interactive, and understand what actually goes into making their dinner really seems to work and their enthusiam is infectious - we even end up dancing while we work!" Sticky fingers and chocolate smeared smiles greet the parents at the end of each session, the kids really come into a world of their own when left in Joudie's care.

Daliy Candy - Captain Cook

Hey good-looking, what you got cooking?

In Joudie Kalla’s case, rather a lot.

One of London’s most personable chefs (and possibly one of the prettiest), Kalla offers bespoke cookery parties for adults, teens and children, either in her Kensington kitchen or your own kitchen/party venue. Having worked under Gordon Ramsay at Pengelley’s, then Daphne’s and Papillon, she is highly qualified and wonderfully patient.
